Hi! I’m Viorela.
Make-up Artist. Beauty minimalist.
Confidence whisperer.
For over a decade, I’ve worked with more than 1,000 women — from everyday clients to brands like Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Burberry, Liz Earle and No7.
But my real passion?
Helping women feel naturally beautiful and confident at every age.
I created The Makeup Edit to give women 40–85+ a simpler, kinder, more modern approach to makeup — one that enhances your features without overpowering them.
Because you don’t need more makeup.
You need the right techniques for the face you have today.I didn’t start The Makeup Edit to “do make-up.”
I started it to change how women feel about themselves.
After years working backstage, on campaigns, and inside luxury beauty houses, I noticed something consistent — women would sit in my chair and apologise for their faces.
“Sorry, I’m getting older.”
“I don’t know how to do makeup anymore.”
“I feel like I’ve lost myself.”
It broke my heart because every woman deserves to feel beautiful without overcomplicating it.
So I built a service that gives women something the beauty industry rarely offers:
clarity, empathy and techniques that actually work in real life.
My approach is simple: enhance, don’t overwhelm.
No heavy layers.
No trends that fight your natural features.
No pressure to look a certain way.
Just clean, natural, confidence-boosting makeup that reflects who you are today.
I specialise in working with women aged 35–85+, supporting them through all the changes our skin goes through with time:
texture
pigmentation
fine lines
sensitivity
loss of definition
You don’t need more makeup.
You need the right techniques for the face you have now — and someone to teach them with kindness, clarity and expertise.

I once had the honour of meeting King Charles V - while wearing an H&M jumper. That’s the day I decided I’d always make an effort to dress up. You never know who you’re going to meet, right?
I signed up for a high-profile makeup competition before I even started makeup school. I guess I was that passionate about it.
As a child, I filled notebooks with portraits - I added little dots on them. Looking back, it was my own way of hinting at skincare steps and application techniques. Beauty obsessed from day one!
I collect vintage make-up pieces - my favourite is a Revlon powder and lipstick set from 1963.
I never throw away beautiful makeup packaging. One day, I hope I will be able to open a make-up museum in Bucharest, Romania.
I believe that doing your makeup should be quick, easy and above all FUN!
Make-up is a means of self-expression and a way of stepping into your power & showing the world who you really are.
-
Self-care - skincare and make-up - should not be a complicated 100 steps routine.
I believe that less is more when it comes to finding your hero products to sort you out in no time. Life’s too short, isn’t it?
-
Make-up is a tool you can use to boost your confidence by expressing your creativity as well as honouring your true, unique beauty.

I meet you exactly where you are — no assumptions, no pressure.
I never make you feel embarrassed for not knowing something.
I explain the why behind every technique so you feel confident, not confused.
I move at your pace, not mine.
I honour your comfort zone while gently showing you what’s possible.
I teach with empathy, encouragement, and the belief that you can learn this.
Be your own kind of beautiful!
